About the Mentorship Program
The goal of the program is to connect undergraduate graduate students and young professionals with more experienced individuals who are happy to share their knowledge and provide career support. The ideal mentor is a professional in the field of polymer science and technology (2-30 years of industry/academic experience) who would be able to provide insight and guidance related to project/thesis work, resume writing, interviewing, seeking summer internships, networking, choosing a career path and work-life balance.
Mentor Expectations
Mentors and mentees are introduced via email. Each pairing is expected to reach out to each other and establish the method(s) and frequency of communicating. Connect at least once a month by phone, email/text or in person.
Face to face interactions are highly encouraged schedule permitting
Report back to Program Leaders if there are any issues
